Bal d'Afrique is a citrus-woody unisex fragrance from Byredo, released in 2009 and one of the house's best-known launches. The opening combines Amalfi lemon, tagetes, black currant, bergamot and African orange flower; violet, cyclamen and jasmine build the heart; and vetiver, musk, amber and Virginia cedar hold the base. Longevity is good.
