French Lover is a woody men's fragrance from Frédéric Malle, released in 2007. The composition is spare: galbanum and spices in the opening, angelica, cedar and incense in the heart, vetiver, oakmoss and white musk at the base. It is sharply green and dry with an incense coolness — restrained, cerebral and not sweet at all. For mid-season weather and everyday wear; longevity is good.
