Interlude Man is an amber-woody men's fragrance from Amouage, released in 2012 and known as one of the smokiest scents in the house's range. A spicy start of oregano, pepper and bergamot moves into a dense heart of incense, opoponax, amber and labdanum, while oud, leather, sandalwood and patchouli hold the base. It is rich, resinous and near-chaotic — a fragrance for cold weather and evening wear. Longevity is very strong, with the trail holding well beyond ten hours. Interlude is regarded as a cult release from the Omani house Amouage.
