Le Male is a fougère-amber men's fragrance from Jean Paul Gaultier, released in 1995 and one of the best-selling men's scents in history. The opening combines lavender, mint, cardamom, bergamot and artemisia; cinnamon, orange blossom and caraway build the heart; and vanilla, tonka bean, amber, sandalwood and cedar hold the base. It is minty-lavender over a warm vanilla foundation — recognisable from the first note. Longevity is strong.
