The Blazing Mr Sam is an amber-woody men's fragrance from Penhaligon's, released in 2018. The opening combines cardamom and cinnamon; black pepper, saffron and cumin build the heart; and tobacco, vanilla, cedar and patchouli hold the base. It is sharply spicy with a cumin animalism and a tobacco warmth — bold and distinctive. For cold weather; longevity is strong. It belongs to the Penhaligon's Portraits collection, whose bottles carry animal-headed stoppers and satirical biographies.
