Maison Francis Kurkdjian is a Parisian luxury perfume house co-founded in 2009 by master perfumer Francis Kurkdjian and his longtime friend and business partner Marc Chaya. Born in Paris in 1969 to Armenian parents, Kurkdjian became a perfumer at twenty-six with the creation of Jean Paul Gaultier's Le Mâle in 1995 — one of the world's best-selling fragrances and a turning point in modern perfumery. Together with Chaya, he built a maison guided by precise codes — purity, sophistication, timelessness, and the boldness of a reinvented classicism — offering a "fragrance wardrobe" of contemporary creations that meld uncompromising quality with artistic vision. The house joined the LVMH group in 2017, and in 2021 Kurkdjian was also named creative director for Dior perfumes. Honored as Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres by the French government and recipient of the Prix François Coty, Francis Kurkdjian is regarded as one of the most influential perfumers of his generation.
